You will definitely find all kinds of summer delights in my refrigerator this year. Last year I was in India, and the husband filled the refrigerators with store bought summer treats. But, this time I wanted to make sure how it feels to have all the summer treats home-made from scratch. And this one is his favorite. We devour this drink and use it for all year long to be honest.
We enjoy our Badam Milk chilled in summers, while warm in winters and monsoon. It is healthy with superfood ingredients and so delicious. Definitely this is our family favorite.
How is the Badam Milk Prepared Traditionally?
The Badam Milk certainly undergoes through one long process if I may say. You soak the almonds overnight and peel them off in the morning. In a mixer grider you make a smooth paste of the soaked almonds. On the other hand, you boil your milk, add the almond paste, cinnamon powder, sugar and saffron. Bring it to a boil. Cool it and chill it for a couple of hours and enjoy.
Why do I prefer to make Badam Milk Powder Ahead of Time?
As I already mentioned Badam Milk is our family favorite and we almost prefer drinking it every single day. We prefer Badam Milk over all the summer treats. For me it is not possible to make Badam Milk in a traditional way every day, but I can surely preserve the Badam Milk Powder and Make it whenever I want to. I can store it upto a month and surely is a main in my pantry. I prepare my badam milk in the morning , chill it during the day and we enjoy it in the evening right before we take our Puppy Luna for a hike.
