Equipment

  • 1 Blender

Ingredients

  • 1 Cup Plain Greek Yogurt
  • ½ Cup Milk
  • 15 Fresh/ Frozen Strawberries
  • ¼ Teaspoon Cardamom Powder
  • 3-4 Teaspoons Sugar or Honey
  • Ice Cubes Optional

Instructions

  • Wash the strawberries thoroughly. Cut the stem off the strawberries. Now use a metal straw to remove the core of the strawberries.
  • In a blender, combine the strawberries, yogurt, milk, sugar (or honey), and cardamom powder. Blend until smooth and creamy.
  • Check the consistency of the lassi. If it’s too thick, add more milk and blend again.
  • Toss in a few ice cubes and give it a quick blend to chill the lassi.
  • Pour the lassi into tall glasses. Garnish with a sliced strawberry for an appealing presentation.

Notes

Make it Vegan: Substitute yogurt with coconut yogurt and milk with almond or oat milk.
Use Fresh, Ripe Strawberries: They’re naturally sweeter and more flavorful.
Chill the Ingredients: Use cold yogurt and milk for a refreshingly cool drink.
Experiment with Flavors: Add a splash of vanilla extract for a gourmet twist. Add a teaspoon of rose water or rose syrup to give this lassi floral flavor.
Green Cardamom Powder - Freshly pounded green cardamom adds a rich flavor to the recipe.
